The purpose of this website is to enable shelter providers to report the availability of beds at their facilities, and allow the Housing Solutions Center navigators to make reservations on behalf of their clients.

Overview of how it works:

  • The shelter creates a post stating how many beds are available.
  • The HSC navigator checks the post for availability, when a client is a potential match.
  • If a bed is available, the navigator calls the shelter to confirm.
  • If it’s a match, the navigator reserves a bed by adding a comment to the post. The number of available beds automatically decreases in the title of the post.
  • The navigator refers the client to the shelter.
  • Each morning, the shelter updates the post to reflect the current day’s availability. This may involve deleting navigator comments and/or changing the number of available beds.
  • The shelter changes the publish date to today’s date. This is important because it helps the navigator know that the information is current.
