Salvation Army Winter Shelter – OPEN thru April 2025

The winter shelter program will be operating Nov 1st 2023 – Apr 30th 2025 in Kitsap County. Accepts adults, couples, families, and pets.
All persons may arrive at the shelter between 7pm-9pm. Doors close at 9pm.

Procedures/Rules/Regulations

  • All persons are welcomed at our shelter. We do not house youth unless they are with their family. All guests will be asked for name, birthdate and completion of an HMIS form. No background check is performed.
  • Guests may bring a limited number of items such as medications, books, snacks, etc. into the shelter. All other belongings will be bagged and checked into the connex for safe keeping. Any knives or other small personal items may be checked into the lockbox as you enter and can be retrived when you leave. If guests elect to keep something on their person, such as a weapon or contraband, they will be asked to leave and the items may be turned over to law enforcement.
  • While in the shelter or on premises, there will be no use of drugs or alcohol. Smoking will only be allowed outside in designated areas and at designated times.
  • Guests are expected to follow the basic rules of conduct including no fighting or disturbing others while you are in the shelter. Disregarding the rules will result in the guest being asked to leave. Continued disregard of the rules may result in the guest being banned from the property for a period of  time or permanently.
  • Pets are welcome and must be kept on a leash when not in a kennel. Kennels are provided. Animals must be well mannered and not aggressive.
